Marroni di Combai IGP

Combai Chestnut production, documented since XII century, covers a vast territory of Valmareno, in the Comunità Montana delle Prealpi Trevigiane. Combai chestnuts IGP have a floury, sugary, crisp pulp and a sweet taste. This product is usually consumed roasted, oven-baked or boiled. It is also used by pastry chefs in cakes and jams and also in sauces and soups, among which the Mondoi recipe, a chestnuts soup that once replaced the traditional soups.
